Benjamin Mbasa
I started work here in September 2014 as an Education Support Officer. I was appointed Assistant Director in December 2016.
My job is in line with what I studied in school and so I use my skills to help out in promoting and strengthening children’s welfare both in school and in the community. Searching, or listening to families and the stories of their lives, and being able to process a child in need so as to get a sponsor and seeing the same child changing and developing positively is such a great inspiration to me.
The only challenge is the choice to make when selecting who to receive an education sponsorship and who does not because basically all are needy. Also being a trained teacher, I love the idea of Education and its impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, families and the nation at large.
The leadership that is so close to us and very caring, the staff that is very competent, progressive and supportive makes me to love my job so much.
