Sr Kevina Ekal

In charge of Primary Students and Women’s Group

I have trained as both Montessori and high school teacher, working in private and public schools. I established and administered our Ursuline Montessori and Primary School. I have taught for the last 12 years in Montessori, primary and in secondary schools. I also trained as a life skills teacher and have taught and imparted skills in different forums include schools, formation houses etc.

I am a loyal and caring person who loves making a difference in the lives of young people. I am open-minded, patient and supportive person. The kind of work I am doing is in line with what I studied in school.

Wanawake Kwa Wanawake is an organisation that I am proud to be associated with because it offers me the challenge to grow in sensitivity and awareness of the needs in our society today. I like the team work and the great respect that is found in WKW. The children are really humbling. Working in WKW has sincerely opened my heart and mind to the needs in the society. Kibera is not just like any other slum in Kenya or as a statistic but as a place where people live. I am bringing my education and life skills backgrounds to WKW.

I would like to see the beneficiaries of this program empowered and able to fend for their livelihood by the means of the education sponsorship that they are receiving in WkW.

“I like the team work and the great respect that is found in WKW. The children are really humbling”.
